Yet I also know how important it is for families to take time at home to read and memorize God's Word, learn to apply those truths, encourage one another, praise God and pray for individual and family concerns.
Bible Studies for Life app
So I was interested to read of LifeWay's Bible Studies for Life app for kids and families. It has been created to 'help churches connect the unconnected, strengthen families and disciple with wisdom.'
How?
It sounded pretty good, so I downloaded it to check it out. Currently, you can download the Fall issue for free but I gather there will be a cost for subsequent issues. The Fall issue has twelve lessons and a Special Focus; Thanking God.
If you complete one session per week, you have enough materials to keep you going for the term.
Weekly content Each week, you'll find a conversation with questions and thought-provoking activities that teach and reinforce the Bible lesson. There is a colouring page, in-app activities, music and a video. The material for each of these elements is available for the preschool age-group and for older kids. The video segment is great. I watched it with my grandkids and they really enjoyed it. In fact, they asked to see it again. The kids presenting these segments do a wonderful job and kids always enjoy seeing other kids in clips. Technology that teaches and inspires If your church is using the Bible Studies for Life series, this is a great addition. But even if you're not, this app is worth checking out for your family. Technology is an integral part of our kids' world and this quality app uses technology to teach, inspire and nurture faith in kids and their families. Read more about ithere. |
